The conversation is geared to present a perspective to the government on human capital investments as Nigeria’s only viable pathway to inclusive, economic development.
Over time, we have noticed a growing focus on infrastructure investments which provide short-term electoral gains often at the expense of investing in people.
Despite being sub-Saharan Africa’s largest economy and the most populous country, Nigeria is ranked 114th of 130 economies in the 2017 Global Human Capital Index by the World Economic Forum.
We are hoping to use this event to gather non-partisan perspectives to encourage the government to invest more resources in people, especially the youth.
